Amber Ray Anderson was born & raised in the small southern Washington city of Longview on the Columbia river & Oregon border. The forestry & fishing industries surrounding the region has forged the environmental justice content permanently focused in her artwork.

ravitating toward the intersection between art & science, Anderson attended undergraduate studies at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington graduating in 2002. Additionally, Anderson completed a two year program in General & Organic Chemistry at North Seattle Community College, for which she holds a Certificate of Completion in Chemistry Sequence. During her undergraduate studies, Anderson apprenticed performing art restoration at Eastlake Galleries in Seattle. Eastlake Galleries closed in February 2009 after nine years as lead Objects Conservator. Anderson embarked as entrepreneur opening her own business private art conservation practice -Array Art Conservation, LLC- titled after the nickname “A.Ray” given by her mother.

During Amber Anderson's nearly 20 years residing in Seattle she has had an extensive track record of art exhibits regionally. Her passion for traversing the globe has given way to cultural exchange, & documentation of global issues affecting all people across the global economic landscape chain. Anderson has made her home, studio, & art conservation practice in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle where she is continually committed to the social responsibility & dedicated practice of passionately producing & exhibiting art.
