Kree Arvanitas is a mixed-media artist based in Seattle, with family roots in Greece and the Netherlands. An autodidact, she has been illustrating or drawing since childhood. Currently she is focusing on acrylic, altered photos, mixed-media and collage as her ‘weapons of choice.’ She enjoys juxtaposing odd or paradoxical concepts, often mixing various styles and historical periods, acrylic, gouache, fabric, found objects. Kree's work has been featured in “Elegant” and “Obscurae” magazines. She is also the Art Editor for a new arts and opinion magazine titled "Enzyme Arts." Kree shows frequently in several local galleries and hopes to expand opportunities to exhibit and study in 2018.
