”I am a self taught artist from the mid-west now living in Tacoma. I’ve lived a lot of lives over the years. I was homeless at the age of 13. I’ve been a waiter, a teacher, a bartender, a farmhand, a warehouse worker and a mechanical bull operator. I spent eight years straight hopping freight trains and hitchhiking around the country. I've seen friends and lovers die and been to jail nine times. Life is beautiful and hard as hell to navigate. I am obsessed with people and our stories: The narratives we're born into and struggle to outgrow, The ones we create for and around ourselves and the reconciliation of the two. These days when I’m not painting I teach art to kids at the Tacoma Art Museum and stock merchandise at Costco to afford food and art supplies.”
