”At its core my work is about “life”; Defined as: a principle or force that is considered to underlie the distinctive quality of animate beings. My work is not just about human life but all life. I am especially interested in the delicate nature of life, its brevity and fragility. I hope to capture some of the delicacy and impermanence of life within my work; I feel that (because of their fragile forms) flowers and insects express this well. This especially holds true for our endangered flora and fauna.”
