Till I’m Gone Like Smoke
Pastel & Charcoal
4”x6” drawing encased in vintage frame approximate 6” ¾ X 8” ¼
This artwork is a depiction of a Diana Fritillary going up In smoke. Drawn to symbolize how fragile our world is. In a glimpse of an eye, species such as the Diana Fritillary can be gone for good. Just like when a candle burns out and smoke appears, it just takes an instant till it’s gone.
Bio:
I was born and raised in Orange County, California where most of my childhood was spent around animals and nature. My current work may have a darker aesthetic but in ways are depictions of sense of hope and growth which have come from my own experiences in life. I build a world that engages people to think and analyze the situations either painted or drawn in hopes to give a better answer to their own situation as well as her own encounters. Having a connection to those consisting more of four legs than two, the artwork I create are told through various of animals surrounded in space.
